Losing the toss Mississauga Dolphins were put in to field on an overcast and windy afternoon. Opening pacers kept the opposition in check by keeping a tight line, resulting in a run out to break the opening stand.
Wickets tumbled at regular intervals from then on courtesy left arm spinner Ali Rashid and off break bowler Fawaz Alaziz, with the latter getting two in two, including the prize wicket of the Titians’ main batsman. Skipper Umar Ghani and medium pacer Abdullah Amjad also chipped in with couple wickets each to end the Titans innings at 89-all out.
Top order batsmen Ammar Khalid and Ali Rashid scored quick 20 odd runs each with support from Rishi Kakar. However it was Sajid who stole the show by taking the team across the line with the help of the skipper Umair Ghani. Sajid’s innings consisted of 3 fours and a massive six towards the straight boundary. This win was the second of the day for Dolphins and ended proceedings on the opening weekend of Dolphins 2016 season.
