Dolphins led by Adeel Ahmed were put to bat on an overcast day. With the ball swinging both ways with overcast condition Zubair Ali and Taha Ali, opened the bat and provided a stable and cautious start with a partnership of 34 odd runs. Zubair Ali 19-(18) was first to depart on a pacey yorker from Parris. Rishi Kakar supported Taha for a while but couldn’t give much resistant and was caught behind for 4 runs. Taha on the other hand fell prey to a slippery delivery and was bowled out after a controlled 36(27). The new pair Sher Khan and Sajid Muhammad, took the daunting task to put a formidable total on board. Sajid, without troubling the scorers was given LBW, playing cross the line on a straight delivery. Inform wicket keeper Ali Hassan joined Sher and the pair looked to consolidate. With Slow rate, due to the fall of wickets and on/off rain delays, the pair managed to score some boundaries at the end of the inning to put a decent score of 151 on board with Sher 40(32) and Ali 27(29).
Dolphins managed 151 without scoring a single six which shows the harsh bowling condition and it was not getting any easier for the 2 innings with clouds still hovering over Malton. Dolphins started with the Spin attack of Taha (1-23 in 3 overs) and Adeel (2 -16 in 3 overs) with his deceiving medium pace took care of the opening pair of Knights CC. With DL method in mind Knights CC were going on a decent RR, but the all-out spin attack of Faizan Al-Aziz (1 for 32 in 3 overs )and Moiz (2 for 8 in 3 overs ) gave Mississauga a commanding position. Knights CC never looked in control with wickets falling on regular intervals. Sajjid (2 for 7 in 2.2) continued his good form with the ball to finish off Knights CC.
