First game of the season, played against Mississauga Lions in harsh weather conditions. Mississauga lions won the toss and elected to bat. Dolphins bowlers could not adjust the weather, bad fielding did not help them either. First wicket of the day did not come until 12th over. Due to multiple weather delays, game was cut short to 17 overs per innings. Mississauga Lions were able to hit 164 in 17 overs for loss of 2 wickets.
Chasing 9.7 per over, Armaan Kapoor opened with Umair Ali. Armaan, showed his intent from ball one by cutting a high full-toss over point for one bounce four. He managed to score 9 from first over. Umair Ali, could not last long and was gone in second over a duck. Raheel Khan, joined Armaan and played a sensible knock while Armaan, trashed the bowlers all around the park. Raheel scored run a ball 28 getting out LBW, his partnership with Armaan was off 92 runs. T20 specialist Ammar Khalid, then joined Armaan and continued the chase. While Armaan was dealing in boundaries, Ammar rotated strike. Once Armaan reached his 100, Ammar then wasted no time and finished the game with a quick fire 34 in platinum over. Dolphins scored 22 boundaries. 6 fours and 16 sixes. Armaan scored 3 4s and 12 6s. He batted for 52 balls.
